Saturday , April 21, 2018 - 10:00 PM

October 31, 1941 ~ April 17, 2018

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Dennis Arbon Goodliffe, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 17, 2018. He was born October 31, 1941, to Wilford Henry Goodliffe and Vera Margarete Pearson in Rexburg, Idaho. At a young age Dennis and his family relocated to Ogden, UT, where he attended Ogden City Schools and Weber State College, graduating in the electrical industry, and became a Master Electrician.

He married his sweetheart, Geraldine Winward, on April 13, 1960. They recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Dennis was known for his extremely hard work ethic. He was employed by Winward Electric Service, Murphy Neil Electric and the proud owner of Goodliffe Electric. Dennis was a member of the local IBEW Union.

He was very kind, generous, hard-working and most importantly a friend to all. Dennis was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and all things outdoors, but his first love was fishing. When Dennis was on the water, no fish were safe. Most of all, he loved spending time at his cabin in Island Park, Idaho, and fishing on Henry's Lake. Dennis had a beautiful singing voice. He was known for his famous handshakes, conversing over a good cup of coffee and joking about his three bad habits.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Geri W.; his children, Rick (Denice) Goodliffe and Karen (Ken) Bastian; grandchildren: Craig (Jessica) Goodliffe, Kamille (John) Marshall, Megan (Bronson) Barker, Kaitlyn (Shay) Lawrence, Erin (Jake) Kap, Nick (Presley) Goodliffe, McKenzie (Chase) Read, Chase Bastian and McCalle Goodliffe; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings: Glenna Mavencamp, Margret (Lynn) Cutler, Arnold J. (Becky) Goodliffe, LeRoy (Shirlee) Goodliffe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, and from 11 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Myers Mortuary.
